
OUR STORY
We are the Folsom Family! Raising our 6 rambunctious kiddos on our beautiful farm just outside of Rexburg, Idaho. JD and Micah met while they were playing college football and volleyball at Weber State in Utah back in 2007. JD grew up on a cattle ranch and always wanted to raise a family and instill the values and work ethic that comes along with the country lifestyle. Micah was a city girl who got her first taste of country life when JD took her up to Montana to meet his family a few weeks after they started dating. She’s fallen in love with the country life ever since and can’t imagine raising babies any other way.
JD is a Cattle Veterinarian and owns his own practice serving ranches all across Southeast Idaho. He specializes in cattle reproduction and is passionate about everything that goes into the life cycle from the genetics before conception to tracking their productivity and efficiency to continue improving the quality and taste of our own herd and everything in between.
Micah homeschools their 6 kids and leads a team of over 10,000 coaches in the health and wellness industry who are building businesses in the mom cracks. She also mentors women across all different network marketing companies all around the world in her Ignite Your Life program and Inner Circle Group Coaching and she’s the host of a Top 25 Podcast called Do Your Crap.
Getting their family’s beef on your family’s table is a product of their two worlds colliding in the most beautiful way and they are so excited about the opportunity to serve your family the yummiest beef you can feel confident enjoying around the dinner table. What really lights them up about this is getting to build another family business that their kids and siblings can be a part of growing for generations to come.

Brye + Michelle
Meet Micah’s older brother Brye, his wife Michelle, and their twin girls Josie & Hattie. They are the Directors of Operations.
They moved up to Idaho in April of 2023 from Northern Utah and are loving being a part of the Folsom Farm team! It’s been a dream of theirs to get to work together and get to raise their kids out in the country.

OUR TEAM
Bryce
Meet Bryce. He is JD’s right hand man helping everything run smoothly on the farm! He helps JD take care of the cattle & does many of the day to day tasks (feeding, health checking, calving, building & fixing fence etc.) He grew up in Wyoming and came to Rexburg to get his degree in Agribusiness. As he was finishing up school, JD snagged him up to work for us and he’s now been a part of our Folsom Farm team since 2020.

All of our cattle are homegrown on our farm in scenic Rexburg, Idaho and spend summers on grass at the beautiful Hairpin Ranch in Jackson, MT that JD’s family manages. It’s truly a cow’s paradise! We are committed to providing our customers with transparency in all that we do, and that's exactly what we openly share!
All the cattle are raised on our family’s pastures for the first year of life while they are nursing on their moms and feeding off the land. They are then partially grain + grass finished over the next 5-6 months to fatten them up before harvesting, for the most delicious taste and marbling. Their finishing ration is a specific mixture of hay, corn silage, a bit of flaked corn and mashed potato - all locally sourced (we are in Idaho after all).
We have been filling an entire freezer and enjoying our own beef for years and now we get to share the goodness with you! The reason we started this business is simple: we wanted to bring top-quality, farm-raised beef directly to you and your family. We aim to eliminate questionable practices and middlemen from the equation for customers who value knowing the source and quality of their food. It’s what we love to do and we’re so excited to be sharing it with you!
